GROCERS' ASSOCIATION
Brooklyn Standard Union
13 December 1882

Election of Officers for the Ensuing year -
The Grocers' Protective Association held its annual meeting
last night at No. 462 Fulton street,
Mr. C. A. METTLER in the chair,
Mr. William LODTMAN, Secretary.

The principal business of the evening was the
election of officers for the ensuing year, in which considerable
interest was felt, owing to the opposition which had been
developed against the Secretary, Mr. LODTMAN, during the past
twelve months. In the course of the proceedings it was stated
that a black list of bad-paying customers was being prepared.

The result of the election was as follows:

President, C. A. METTIER,
Vice-Presidents, John TIETJEN and Louis SANDHAUSEN;
Secretary and Agent, William LODTMAN,
Treasurer, D. DETERLING,
Financial Secretary, John F. TRIBCKEN.

The position of Secretary and Agent, for which there was a close
contest, is a salaried one.
Mr. LODTMAN was re-elected by one majority.
