How the Work goes on in all the Wards October 21,1888

The men of the Building Dept were kept busy during the week 
ending Friday in filling out permits to be 
granted by Commissioner PLATT for new additions to 
the growth of the city. There were permits to be signed for 
110 new buildings...

This is an increase over last week of 65 buildings and over the 
corresponding week last year of 40 buildings. In the following 
report will be found the location and cost of 
each new structure to be erected:

At the SW corner of Greene & Grand Aves., 
Messrs. A. & W. HYDE 
will will build a four story brick dwelling with store for 
three families to cost $9,000.

On Schermerhorn St, near Court, the trustees of the 
German Evangelical Church 
will build a 2 story house of worship to cost $60,000.

On Bergen St., near Classon Ave, 
Mr T. SWIMM is abt to erect a 
3 story frame dwelling for 6 families, to cost $7,500.

On Sandford St., near Myrtle Ave. 
Mr. Richard HEALEY is abt to 
erect nine 4 story dwellings with a store in one, to cost $45,000.

At 28 Tiffany Pl., 
Messrs. T. O. REEVE & Co. will build a 3 story brick 
factory, to cost $2,000.

At 181 Stockholm St, 
Mr. W. EDWARDS is abt to erect a one story 
frame shed to cost $25.

On Gates Ave , near Irving, 
Mr. Ludwig KUNZ is abt to erect a 
one story frame shed, to cost $50.

At 149 Freeman St., 
Mr. John D. EGGERS is abt to erect a 3 
story frame dwelling for 6 families, to cost $3,000.

On South Fourth St. near Hooper, 
Messrs. JENKINS & GILLIES will 
build a four story brick building for 8 families to cost $10,000.

At NE corner of Vernon & Lewis Ave., 
Mr. M. HALLHEIMER will 
build 8 three story brick dwellings for 8 families to cost $50,000.

On Covert St. near Bushwick Ave, 
Mr. Peter DUFFY is abt to 
erect a 2 story 

On Glenmore Ave. near Snediker in the 26th Ward, Messrs. 
WEEKS & LINDSAY are 
abt to erect three 2 story frame dwellings to cost  $7,500.

At SW corner of Myrtle Ave and Stanhope St., 
Mr. Joseph WAGNER is abt to erect a 3 story frame dweling with 
store to cost $8,000.

On President St near Fifith Ave, 
Mr P. DONLON will build three 2 story frame dwellings to cost $9,750.

On Forty Sixth St. near Fifth Ave, 
Mr. H.L. BRADLEY is abt to erect three 2 
story buildings to cost $9,600.

On Bedford Ave. near Dean St., 
Mr. A.C. BROWNELL will build a 3 story brick 
dwelling for one family to cost $8,000.

MR. C. HOF proposes to rebuild the foundation at 
174 Ewen St to cost $600.

Mr. S.S. HASKELL proposes to make slight alterations in 
dwelling at 642 Herkimer St to cost $40.

Mrs. Kate ANDERSON proposes to rebuild front wall of first 
story at 1219 Bedford Ave. at a cost of $600.

Mr. James CULLINGFORD proposes to add a story of frame to a dwelling at 65 
Bleeker St., to cost $100.

Mr. G. BEACH is abt to erect a 2 
story frame dwelling for one family, to cost $1,400.

On Fulton St., near Franklin Ave., 
Mr. J.A. LONCKS will build three 4 story 
brick dwellings to cost $48,000.

On Bleeker St., near Central Ave, 
the HAHN Bros. are abt to erect a one story 
frame stable, to cost $100.

At 497 Hamilton Ave., 
Mr. M.F. ROGAN is abt to erect a 2 story frame dwelling 
for one family to cost $2,100.

On Ninth St., near Second Ave, 
Mr. F. SHATLER is abt to erect a 3 story frame 
dwelling for six families, to cost $4,500.

On 18th St., near Eighth Ave. 
Mr. W.O. KAY is abt to erect three 2 story 
frame dwellings for 2 families in each, to cost $5,400.

On 47th St., near Fourth Ave., 
Mr. John H. FRENCH is abt to erect a 2 story 
frame dwelling for one family, to cost $2,400.

On Essex St., near Ridgewood Ave in the 26th Ward, 
Mr. E.F. LINTON is abt to 
erect a 2 story frame dwelling for one family, to cost $2,000.

On Atlantic Ave., near Albany, 
Mr. F. GROSJEAN will build a eight 2 story 
brick buildings for one family each, to cost $40,000.

On Atlantic Ave., near Albany, 
Mr. F. GROSJEAN will build a 2 story brick 
dwelling for one family, to cost $6,000.

On 20th St., near Second Ave, 
Mr. Thomas BARBER is abt to erect a 2 story 
frame dwelling with shop, to cost $300.

At the SE corner of Liberty Ave & Grant St., in the 26th Ward, 
Mr. John FICKEN is abt to erect a 2 story frame dwelling 
to cost $2,000.

On Gates Ave, near Buswick Ave, 
Mr. ROBERTS is abt to erect a 2 story frame 
stable to cost $200.

On Fourth Ave., near 22nd St., 
Mr. J. KOLLE will build a 3 story brick 
dwelling for three families, to cost $5,500.

On Fourth Ave, near 22nd St, 
Mr. J. KOLLE will three 2 story brick dwellings 
for one family each, 10 cost $12,000.

On S. 3rd St., near Kent Ave, 
HAVEMEYER, ELDER & Co. will build a 2 story 
brick boiler house to cost $10,000.

On Hart St., near Lewis Ave, 
Mr. William MOGLE will build two 4 story brick 
dwellings foe eight families in each, to cost $15,000.

On Stagg St., near Newtown Creek, 
Mr. H. F. BURROUGHS is abt to erect a one 
story frame shed, to cost $1,000.

On Bush St., Mr H. LESSLER is abt to erect a one story frame building for one 
family, to cost $200.

At the NE corner of Clinton & Bush sts., 
Mr. H. LESSLER is abt to erect a one 
story frame building for one family , to cost $200.
