F. Smith. In the spring of 1886 the founder died, and since then the business has been conducted by the son, who was bred and reared in the business. The house is the oldest one in its line in Flushing, and the proprietor is the descendant of one of the oldest families in the town. The premises comprise a store 30x 125 feet in dimensions, and this embraces a neatly fitted up sales-room and a handsomely furnished ice-cream saloon. Mr. Smith manufactures all his own confectionery, ice-cream, water ices, French and Italian cream, Charlotte de Russe, jellies, etc., and families and parties are supplied with these delicacies on the shortest notice and at the most reasonable prices.
