D.- A prominent house engaged in the manufacture of paints is the Stevens' Paint Specialty Company, which was incorporated in 1882, with a capital stock of $20,000, and since the organization at that date has obtained an influential and permanent patronage. The office of the company is located at the foot of Delancy street, East river, New York, and the factory at Nos. 31 amid 33 South Fifth street, Brooklyn, E. D. The officers of the company are Mr. F. T. Baker, president and treasurer, and Mr. Alfred T. Stevens, secretary and manager. The factory is fully supplied with the latest improved apparatus, appliances, and machinery for the grinding and mixing of paints, colors, and specialties. Thirty experienced workmen are employed, and the machinery is operated by steam power. The company manufactures largely flat brick red, Milwaukee brick color, practical graining colors, combination colors, hard-drying wax finish, never failing oil gold size, household mixed paints, varnishes, liquid stains, calcimine, and honest colors of every description for painters' use. The paints of this company retain their tint and color for a very long period, are not liable to crack, and the goods are general favorites wherever introduced, having no superiors in this or any other market.
