ROLL NUMBER CONVERSION CHART

There were three counties located on Long Island In 1870.   
They were Kings Queens, and Suffolk.  
A fourth county, Nassau was created In 1899.

The National Archives (NA) In Washington, D.C. uses a 
Series and  Roll number for their films.   
The L.D.S. Family History Library uses a number only.

The population of Long Island In 1870 was 540,628. Of this number
