The Nassau County census for 1915
is available on two LDS microfilm rolls. Roll 0523272 is identified as Town of Hempstead Roll 0523273 is Towns of Hempstead & Town of Oyster Bay. The Town of North Hempstead is not mentioned in the descriptions, either in the Family History Library microfiche catalog or in their CD catalog. I have found now that North Hempstead follows Oyster Bay on roll 0523273. For example, ED 8 in North Hempstead includes only 4 pages of Great Neck Estates and 27 pages of unincorp areas. The microfilm is a good copy; the pages are clear and the handwriting is generally legible. Names of streets are in the left column on each page. Presumably, the first 34 EDs of Town of Hempstead are on roll 0523272. Thanks to Russell K. Brown Back To LONG ISLAND Return to CENSUS Main Index Return to BROOKLYN Info Main
