Public School No. 10
Graduation Exercises of the Academic Class of 1877 - An Interesting Occasion The graduation exercises of the Academic class of 1877 of Public School No. 10 were held last evening in the main rooms of the grammar department of the schoolhouse, at Seventh Avenue and Seventeenth Street. The programme was replete with choice piano solos and duets; songs, duets and choruses; recitations, essays, etc., rendered by the Misses: Cora MORRIS Lottie G. BAIRD Ria L. BROWER Manda DOWNS Agnes GALLOWAY Annie E. HULL Maggie NEILL who composed the graduation class, assisted by Miss Bertna N??S Agnes GALLOWAY and the Misses MAXWELL, LOCKMAN, WARNER, HEWETT, SIEDEKER, AMBROSE, HILL BOURNE, and Master Harry E. COX. The salutatory was delivered by Miss HULL, of the graduation class, valedictory by Miss MORRIS. In a programme of twenty-three or twenty-four selections, all rendered in excellent style, discrimination would endanger fairness, it should therefore suffice to say that all the pupils, and especially those of the graduating class, acquitted themselves in a degree of proficiency which was highly creditable to the veteran principal, Mr. Peter ROUGET, the Academic Teacher, Miss M. Louise RICE, and the teachers and the Local Committee generally. RETURN to 1870 Main RETURN to GRADUATE MAIN RETURN to BROOKLYN MAIN
