GRAMMAR DEPARTMENT PROMOTION EXERCISES THIS AFTERNOON.
Promotion exercises in the grammar deparmtent of 
Public School No. 13, took place yesterday afternoon in the 
presence of a number of the friends of the pupils and several 
of the members of the Board of Education. 
Among the latter were 
Mr. James CLYNE, 
Mr. S.V. LOWELL, 
Mr. A. N. BELL, of the Local Committee.

The exercises were conducted by Mr. Calvin PATTERSON, the school principal. 

The following pupils, in their different grades, read compositions, recited, sang, etc.
