GRADUATING EXERCISES AT No. 25
Walworth street, near Myrtle avenue

The graduating exercises of the Class of 1977 of Public School No. 25 took
place yesterday afternoon in the school building, Walworth street, near
Myrtle avenue. 
Charles E. TUTHILL, Principal and Mary VANY WYCK, teacher,
conducted the exercises.

H.E. WHEELER, the Local School committee, were present, as also a 
large audience, composed principally of ladies and children. 
The exercises commenced at two o’clock.

David P. HORTON presided at the piano. 
Addie M. HOFF and Harry S. WHEELER, played a piano duet, 'Waves of the Ocean,' 
very acceptably. 

The graduating class then sang a chorus, 'Like as a Father.' 

Miss Mary J. CAHILL recited a composition on the subject of 'Home Life' 
which gave evidence of culture and thought. 

The other exercises consisted of a duet, 'Ah Could I tend the Nightingale,' 
by Misses Mattie F. CARY and Jennie M. MANN, 

recitation of 'The Woman Question' by Nellie C. DOWLING; 

trio and chorus, 'The Vale where My Home Lies' (Abt), by 
Miss Jennie M. MANN, 
Miss Addie M. HOFF, 
Miss Mattie F. CARY; 

composition, 'Blessings in Disguise,' by Rachel O. BENJAMIN.
 
A reading, 'A Pleasure Excursion,' by Miss Zoe E. HEATH, 
a humorous production, was admirably rendered, and kept the audience in excellent
spirits during its recital. 

The 'Song of a Thousand Years,' by the boys, was another meritorious production.
 
This was followed by the valedictory,'Success,' by Miss Rachel O. BENJAMIN. 

Then the class sang, distribution of diplomas, and brief addresses by 
members of the School committee. The following list comprises the names 
of the students of the graduating class.

Mary J. CAHILL

The first two on the list received 100 percent of credit, and the others
received less, but sufficient to entitle them to graduate.
