The closing exercises of the female department and reunion of 
graduates was held this morning.  
The rooms were nicely decorated, and the exercises were 
exceedingly interesting.  

Following is the programme: 
Solo and chorus, "Welcome," Rose IGELBEIMER; 
dialogue, geography class; 
xylophone solo, Willie OSBORN; 
reading "The Milkmaid," May BERLEW; 
solo, "The Little Maid," Rosetta WELSH; 
recitation, "Number One," Annie KELLY; 
solo, "The Tear," Soophie VOSSELER; 
piano duet, Minnie MURPHY and Mary E. BOOTH; 
solo, "Birdie May," Lucy WHITTORN; 
reading, "The French Lesson," Ella O'NEIL; 
Farewell address, Rose BRADY. 
Chorus singing was done by the school.  

Messrs. James MURPHY, Daniel MAUJER, and Robert SNYDER made 
addresses, and the former distributed thirty-five semi-annual 
certificates.  Prizes consisting of gold rings, books, etc., were also 
given out.  The department, which is under the management of Miss A. R. 
SMITH, has sent twenty-three graduates to the High School during the year.
