Hoyt street, corner of President Brooklyn Union Argus 3 July 1879 At School Number Thirty-two The closing exercises of Public School No. 32 were held this morning at the schoolhouse, Mr. S. V. LOWELL, Chairman of the Local Committee, Rev. Dr. E. P. INGERSOLL, Mr. Samuel M. SPROLE, the school principal, and others occupied seats on the platform. The exercises by the scholars consisted of : piano solos by Ida MOLLENHAUER and Celia COLENBAUER; essays by Harvey HOYT and Inez MOSER, recitations by Belle SECOR, recitation Edgar GARARD, recitation Nellie GILLIGAN, recitation May B. LEE, recitation Bessie RITTER recitation Minnie LAMB; piano duet by Ida and Johanna MOLLENHAUER, vocal solo by Florence JONES, violin solo by Louis MOLLENHAUER, and songs by the school. The recitation by Minnie LAMB was especially good, and the MOLLENHAUER children were very warmly applauded as they deserved to be. The scholars were favored with cornet solos by Signor SALCEDO and Mr. LINDEROTH , who also played a cornet duet, Mr. LeGrand WHITE gave a xylophone solo. Rev. Dr. INGERSOLL, Mr. LOWELL and others addressed the school. Mr. LOWELL present diplomas to the following graduates: Harry B. MORTON, Charles CRANE, Harvey HOYT, David CASEY, John MALMAR, Kirk WILCOX, Hattie FREAKLETON, Irene MACKAY, Inez MOSER, Johanna MULLENHAUER, Anna MURPHY Bessie SHEARMAN.
