St. James' Cathedral Catholic School
Brooklyn Union-Argus Tuesday 1 July 1879 The closing exercises of the St. James' Cathedral Catholic School were held last evening at the Atberseum. The building was crowded with the parents and friends of the pupils. Among the clergy in attendance were the Fathers O'HARE, MITCHELL, WARD, HICKEY, BOYLAN and others. The entertainment was managed by the Christian Brothers who are the teachers of the five hundred scholars of the school. They are known by the names of Brothers Tatian, Abel, Liberator, Colmas, Amonian, John and James. Brother Tatian is the principal. The proceedings were brought to a close by the distribution of certificates and medals to : Patrick H. MALLEN, Thomas F. MC GOLDRICK, William J. MULLIN, Wm. S. KIRBY, John C. YORK,, Richard J.
