Public School No. 26 Exercises
   The pupils of the first three classes of the 
Grammar Department of Public School No. 26, 
Gates avenue, near Ralph, gave their annual reception this
morning in the school building under the direction of the 
Principal Mr. J. E.RYAN.
 
The committee of the school 
Messrs. J. A. S. SIMONSON, 
John McNAMEE 
James HOILE and other members of the Board of Education were present. 

The exercises included 
recitations by 
Robert M. BRIGGS, 
Ida ROYLE, 
Henry HELLAWELL
Eugene TESTUT; 

readings by 
Annie A. FRENCH, 
Lizzie P. FLEMMING, 
Nellie E.GOODMAN, 
Mortimer L. HINCHMAN, 
Emma MAYETTE 
Annie HUDSON; 

piano duets by
Nellie E. GOODMAN and Clara L. ROWLEE 
Annie A. FRENCH and George F. JACOB; 

songs by 
Robert JOHNSTON and Amelia MURR, and choruses by the classes.

The exercises were very interesting and the scholars acquitted 
themselves with great credit.
