PUBLIC SCHOOL No. 31
Dupont street, near Manhattan avenue, Greenpoint Brooklyn Union Argus June 30, 1882 The closing exercises of Public School No. 31 took place this morning. Mayor LOW, who was expected to be present, sent a telegram to the school committee expressing his regrets. The exercises consisted of a Prologue by Grace JORDAN, Concertina solo by Professor Robert SPICE, Operetta "The Patriot's Daughter," in which Genevieve R. JOHNSON, Susie COOPER, Maggie NAMOND, Harry F. Van BRUNT, John W. DUNNING, Chris. A. DALTON James J. GREYSON took part Valedictory by Alice WALDRON and music by the orchestra. Mr. Timothy PERRY made and address to the graduates: Genevieve R. JOHNSON, Alice G. WALDRON, Maggie C. NAMOND, and presented the diplomas and medals.
