Closing Exercises in the School Building at South
Second and Keap Streets

The Misses Adelaide Brown and Lilian A. Walsh sang a duet
"When Life is Brightest," by Pinsuit;

W. P. Oliver recited a parody on "Brutus and Caesar" and caused
so much amusement that he was --------- a couple of times.

Miss Adelaide Brown sang as a solo "Call Me Back."

There was to have been a class oration on "Robert Lee"
by Clarence Lersner, but serious illness in the family prevented
Mr. Lersner from appearing.

Messrs. C. Towney and D. C. Allen gave a piano and violin duet.

The closing essay and the valedictory were delivered by Samuel ---.
The theme of the essay was "Samuel Johnson." As valedictorian Mr. Bell
spoke feelingly of the pleasant school associations about to be severed.

After the formal exercises were at an end a handsome leather
covered revolving chair, the gift of the school, was presented to
Chairman Thompson, the presentation speech being made by Mr. Harkness.
Diplomas will be presented to the graduates to-night.
