June Graduates Won Distinction by Splendid Average in Scholarship
  The annual commencement exercises of the Girls High School 
were held last night in the high school building on Nostrand avenue.
 
Five scholarships were won by members of the class; 
Sigrid C.FREEBERG, 
Alice H.LAPIDGE, 
Ethel L.JARRETT 
Marie G.RAND, all graduates
Freeda ZORN,an undergraduate,won a Cornell Scholarship. 

Miss Sigrid FREEBERB carried off the honors for getting the 
higest all round percentage. In algebra and geometry,she got 100% each.

Ethel L.JARRETT also won a medal in contesting for her Cornell scholarship by 
the excellence of her papers. 

Another member of the class who deserves mention is Freeda ZORN,who, 
although but just completing her junior year in the high school,has 
won a Cornell scholarship. Dr.FELTER is very pround of 
her,and remarked that, although the Boys High School boasts of sending 
students to college after three and one half years,the Girls High School is 
sending one after three years study. After a year in college, Miss ZORN will 
return to the High School and get her diploma. 

The last of the short term classes was graduated last February, leaving 
this class of June, 04, all four year graduates.
