   Successful to a marked degree were the commencement exercises of P.S. 84, 
which were held this afternoon at the school building, Glenmore and Stone 
avenues. A large crowd of parents and relatives attended the affair and 
applauded the efforts of the young people. To Principal Marcus A. Weed's 
efforts is due the success of the affair. The programme of the exercises, 
which commenced at 1:30 o'clock this afternoon, included: 
Song, "The Waving Flag," by the class; 
recitation, "The Forest Hymn" (William Cullen Bryant), Bertrand JACOBSON; 
piano duet, Louis FLEISCHER and Milton SI??INIK; 
recitation, "The Night Elevator Man," Jack J. BRANDT; 
song, "The Pleasures of the Wood," by the class; 
recitation, "Song of the Camp," Abraham GOLDBERG; 
piano solo, Louis FLEISCHER; 
selection from "Julius Caeser," George TONKONOGY, Jr., and Benjamin GAROWITZ; 
song, "Hark: I Hear the Organ Pealing," by the class; 
recitation, "Daniel Webster's Father," Max FELDMAN; 
song, "The Swanee River," by the class; 
recitation, "The Old-Fashioned Spelling School" (Eggleston), Alex KRISEL;
