Has 95 in Graduating Class
Ninety five future business women made up the graduating class of Girls'
Commericial High School, Classon ave and Union st. ..... last night.
Mrs. Evelyn Wight ALLAN, principal presided and awarded the honors, 
Ray ABRAHAMS and Hannah SUKOFF entertained with violin and piano, followed by
several selections by the school orchestra.
Guest of honor, Miss Reba Talbot SWAIN, Deputy Attorney-General of New York
State, addressed the graduates on the topic "The Women's Place in the World
To-day.  She pointed out the changes, both in opportunity and opinion, which
confront the girl of to-day who starts out a career.  "Things have changed
since mother's day." said Miss SWAIN, "and the world is now ready to accept
a girl for what she knows and is willing to give her a chance.  Business and
professtional opportunities present themselves now as ever before and you
will not be hampered by anything but your own selves.  If you have the will,
the way is open."

The Alliance Francaise Medal was awarded to Eva MOSKOWITZ, 
the medal of American Association of Teachers of Spanish to Alfhild BREVIK, 
Alfred E.BOSSOM medal to Lucille BEDELL and the 
BOSSOM certificate to Ray ABRAHAMS;
the St. Gaudens medal for art to Elise JARDINE.
Honors in accounting went to Matilda DINERMAN and Matilda SELDEN, in
American History to Jennie BROWN; 
in economics to Lillian BARON, 
English to Lucille BEDELL, 
in music to Ray ABRAHAMS, 
in physiography to Clara DIAMOND,
in stenography, gold medal to Matilda DINERMAN, 
silver medal to Anna MIRKIN,
and bronze medal to Bessie SHAPIRO, and the 
honorer girl gold medal went to Matilda DINERMAN.

The ceremonies were closed with the singing by the graduates of the
"Farewell Song," the words of which were written by one of the graduates
Helen SAUNDRY.
