The De La Salle Institute was a private Catholic high school for men in
NYC.  The names listed below were seniors in 1927, so most would have been
born within a year or two of 1909.  This listing is from the
"Torch".....the 2nd yearbook put out for this school.  Apparently,  the
school was in existence for some time prior to the printing of yearbooks.
This book mentions an old school and the new school.  The new building, as
of September 1924, was located at 160 West 74th Street.  If you feel that

I will be happy to send you more information.  Each senior had both a
picture and a paragraph about him beneath the picture.  The information
provided is not usually biographical in nature, but rather is a synopsis of
his high school career.......activities, personality, etc.  There is also a
mention of the school attended prior to DLS, usually a grammar school, 
but occasionally a different high school.
