  DWIGHT SCHOOL HOLDS EXERCISES
 
  The fiftieth year of Dwight School, 72 Park avenue, was brought 
to a close last week by the holding of the commencement exercises
in the school auditorium. Selections by the school orchestra songs 
by William RYDER and piano solos by Gerald MOHR preceded the
awarding of the prizes for scholarship by Henry L.CREHAN, head of
the French department.

  Charles HANLEY won the honors for scholarship for the year, with
Frederick ZOBEL and George FEARM winning second and third honors,
respectively. 

Special mention was made of the work of George VOTAVA,
also of Herbert DAPPER, who so far in regents examinations has made
grades of 100 in algebra, 100 in plane geometry, 95 in German, 90 in
biology and 95 in advanced mathematics. Alfred J.WIESMANN, head
of the mathematics department distributed the prizes to those who 
had won distinction in English. The first was awarded to Walter
MONTGOMERY, the second to Charles ANDRES and third to
Albert GALBRAITH.
