PASSPORT APPLICATIONS IN THE NATIONAL ARCHIVES
The National Archives Building in Washington DC has passport applications through March 31, 1925. We only have the indexes, however, through 1923. Many of our microfilm series are available in the Regional Archives Records Service Centers. You will need to know the publication number (M or T number) & the roll number. If you don't have those numbers, first try finding them in the Microfilm Locator at http://www.nara.gov/nara/searchmicro.html Passport Microfilm Publications include M1371, M1372, M1490, and M1848. All four-microfilm publications are described within the Microfilm Locator. Some of the microfilm has been purchased by libraries or other research institutions and may be available in private research centers or through inter-library loan from them.
