According to the NYG&BS: New York's First Baptist Church dates its founding at 1745, and has just observed its 250th anniversary. Numerous other Baptist churches were formed at later dates. Records of several of these churches have been turned over to the American Baptist Historical Society in Rochester, N.Y.
