St. George's Episcopal Church is part of the parish of Calvary-St. George's,
which has been active in New York since before the Revolutionary War.
The church, on Manhattan's lower east side, was the location of George
Jardine's most famous organ of the late 19th century. One of America's first
unencased instruments, the four-manual organ in the rear gallery featured
flared reeds around a clock
