Krickvesky, Joseph
Corporal Joseph KRICKVESKY was killed in action Oct. 4, according to a
telegram received by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Louis KRICKVESKY, 1850
Prospect place, from the War Department.  Corporal KRICKVESKY was
born in Russia and came to Brooklyn with his parents at the age of 16.  He
enlisted with the Fifth Infantry at the beginning of the war and was overseas
a few months later.  He was 23 years old.

A telegram received from the War Department announces that Private
William KALL, of 512 Grand street, was killed in action Oct. 6.  He was
22 years old and a son of Joseph KALL.  In September, 1917, he was
drafted and sailed for France with Company E, 327th Infantry.  He was a 
machinist at the time he was drafted.

said Corporal Frederick J. KAMPS, chauffeur  for Company A, Second
Division Supply Train, in a letter dated Oct. 20, to his father, who lives
at 1129 Broadway.
A War Department message received by his parents stated that the
soldier was killed in action Oct. 22.  KAMPS enlisted in July 1917, and
went to France last January.

Mrs. Warren KEARNEY, of 640 Warren street, the widowed mother of
Corporal Patrick J. KEARNEY, has been notified by the War Department
that he was killed in action Oct. 10.  Corporal KEARNEY was born in
Ireland twenty-three years ago, and had been in this country only three
years.  He went to France with the 327th Infantry.  Besides his mother, he
is survived by a brother, Thomas, who is in France with the Quartermasters
Department, and two sisters.

Kearns, Martin F. 
The Brooklyn man killed in battle was Private Martin F. Kearns, who was
formerly a foreman in the racing stable of Mrs. Payne Whitney.
Private Martin F. Kearns, twenty-four, reported killed in action in
France,was one of 6 brothers in the US Army. According to a telegram
received by his father, William Kearns, an inspector in the Dept of
Highways, he was killed on Sept 18.  A letter written by him early in
September and received by his father ten days ago said he expected to be
home for Christmas.
Private Kearns was a member of Co. F 310th Infantry. Five brothers, three of
them fighting in Frances and two in training, and two sisters survive him
also. He was a graduate of PS 98 and a member of St.Mark's Church,
Sheepshead Bay. Before joining the army he was a foreman  in the racing
stable of Mrs Payne Whitney, in NJ. The Kearns family live on East 28th st,
Sheepshead Bay.

KEATING's Folks Hard to Locate
The relatives of another Brooklyn soldier listed as killed by 
accident in France, Private Michael KEATING, could not be located in 
the vicinity of Fifth street and Fifth avenue, which was the address 
given by the War Department. Residents of that neighborhood said they 
had never heard of him.

KELEHER DIES OF WOUNDS, WIFE HAD PRECEDED HIM
Word has just been received from a chaplain of the American army of the
death in France, Nov. 4, of Private John J. KELEHER, 24 years old, of
183 Schaeffer street, of Company F, 316th Infantry, from wounds received
while fighting in the Argonne section.  Private KELEHER was a brother of
the late Rev. P. H. KELEHER, assistant rector of Our Lady of Lourdes
Church, Broadway and Aberdeen street, who died Oct. 17 of pneumonia.
On the same day, a sister of the clergyman, Mrs. Paul HARLIN, 
also died of pneumonia.
Private KELEHER's wife, Florence, died in November, and last May he was
drafted and in the early part of July sailed for France.  He had been married
only one year.  He was born in Brooklyn and for many years had been
employed by the Brooklyn Union Gas Company. He was a member of the
Order of Redmen and other fraternal organizations.  He is survived by a 
sister, Sister Mary Teresa, Lourdes, and a brother, Robert M., of 322 Quincy
street.  Requiem mass will be celebrated for him at St. Martin of Tours
Church, Knickerbocker avenue and Hancock street, next Wednesday at 9 A.M.

Friends of Martin M. KELLY, who died in France on July 11 from
wounds received in action, have arranged a requiem mass to be solemnized
in his memory at 8 a.m. tomorrow in St. Peter's R. C. Church, Hicks and
Warren streets.  Residents of the neighborhood of Hicks and Baltic
streets were expected to turn out in large numbers.
Private KELLY was a member of Company A., Ninth Infantry. He
enlisted early in the war and received his wound on July 3.
He was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Matthew KELLY, of 419 Hicks street.

Kennedy, Joseph F.
Mrs. Catherine REDDY, of 2049 Gates avenue, yesterday received word that 
her brother, Private Joseph F. KENNEDY, 305th Machine Gun Company, had
been killed in action on Sept. 29.  Only a few days before, Chaplain Bernard 
J.REILLY of the 306th Infantry, formerly connection with St. Brigid's Church,
Brooklyn, wrote to Mrs. REDDY, saying he had met her brother while his
regiment was on the march, and was glad to inform he was in the best of
health.
Private KENNEDY was born in Brooklyn twenty-eight years ago, and was
educated in Public School 10.  Before he was called to the colors, on Dec. 9,
1917, he was connected with the British munitions department, at 120
Broadway, Manhattan.  He was trained at Camp Upton and sailed for France
last March.
Another brother, Private William C. KENNEDY, 342nd Infantry, is also in 
France.  He was formerly a policeman, attached to the Twenty-sixth Precinct

had been a resident of Brooklyn for five years and is survived by his 
mother, Ellen, in Ireland;three sisters, Mrs. Mary GODFREY and Nellie, 
in Ireland, and Margaret and seven brothers, Michael and Patrick, 
who live here, and five brothers in Ireland.  The funeral will be 
held from the home of Mrs. John WALSH, 198 McDougal street at 9:30 a.m. 
Monday; thence to the Church of Our Lady of Lourdes, where requiem 
mass will be celebrated.  Burial in Calvary Cemetery
under direction of FEENEY & Son, of 1857 Broadway.

Private Albert R. Kipling, Jr.
was 24 years old.  He was called to the
colors in June of this year and later went overseas with Co. I, Fifty first
Pioneer Regiment.  A telegram received by his father, Albert Richard
Kipling, at his home, 15 Glenada place, from the War Department stated he
died Oct. 3 of pneumonia.  He was born on Staten Island and attended schools
there. A member of the Fifty first Pioneer Regiment, 
who died of pneumonia, Oct. 3.

old, of 187 Hopkins street, it was learned he was killed in action Oct. 2.  
At the time he was drafted, he was employed as a stock clerk in a Manhattan 
department store.  He sailed for France with Company G, 326th Infantry.  He
was a student at the Eastern District High School.

An official telegram received by her a week ago stated that 
he had fallen in battle on Sept. 2.  He was a member of Company C, 
305th Infantry.  Prior to being called to service he was 
employed in a Manhattan brokerage office.  He was born in 
Brooklyn and was a graduate of P.S. No. 40.  A younger brother, 
Harold, 21, is also in the service.

Private Jacob F. KOEUNE, of 165 Graham avenue, who died 
Tuesday at Lonoko,Ark., of pneumonia, was born in Brooklyn 
twenty-five years ago, and was a member of the Squadron E.  
He had been in service for one year.  He was a member of the 
Holy Name Society of the Most Holy Trinity R. C. Church,
Montrose avenue, where requiem mass will be celebrated on Monday at 9 a.m.
Interment at Holy Trinity Cemetery.  He is survived by his 
father Peter;three brothers, Peter, Jr., Harry and Thomas, 
and two sisters, Mrs. Celia F.STENGEL and Miss Elizabeth KOEUNE.  
F. DARMSTADT & Son have charge of the funeral arrangements.

Krider, Charles C.
Bugler Charles C. KRIDER, son of Mr. and Mrs. Samuel C. KRIDER,
of 909 Gates avenue, was killed in action Sept. 26.  KRIDER was
probably the youngest Brooklyn soldier in the Army.  He was fifteen
years old.  He joined Company C, Thirty-fourth Infantry, and sailed for
France early this year.  His parents have received several letters from
his friends int he company.  They are unanimous in the praise of the
"little bugler".  "He enlisted to bugle," wrote one, "but he did a good
deal more than that.  He died, as he would have liked to die fighting."
KRIDER was born in Brooklyn and attended St. John's Prep. School
where he was prominent in athletics.  Besides his parents he is
survived by one sister, Madeline.

Kuhn, Joseph
Private Joseph KUHN, Jr., reported killed in action, was the son of
John KUHN, of 349 Grove street.  He was born in Brooklyn thirty
years ago, attended P.S. 116 and later worked for the Sperry 
Gyroscope Company.  Joining the army on May 26, this year, he
left for France in July as a member of the 304th Military Police, 
Company A, and met his death on Sept. 29.

Private Patrick M. KYNE, of 8505 Seventeenth avenue, is reported 
on today's causality list as killed in action.  At his home 
address members of Private KYNE's family admitted they had been
