Whirled To His Death By Large Fly Wheel
   Caught in the belting in the drug works of J. S. Hopkins & Co. at 477
Keap street yesterday, George SLATE, 30 years old, of 700 Elton street,
was instantly killed.  SLATE was working about the shafting when his
clothing caught in the belt and he was whirled about a large fly wheel.
The power was shut off, but he was pronounced dead by Dr. EBERLE of
Williamsburg Hospital.

Rosa HALLER
In the house at 2058 Pitkin Avenue.  In which she had lived 
for the last fifty-two years.  Rosa HALLER died suddenly yesterday.  
The house is well known to the older residents of Brooklyn as 
" HARMONIE HALL," an old homestead and landmark.  Born in Germany 
seventy-five years ago, Mrs. HALLER came to Brooklyn when a girl 
and settled in East New York Sterbe-Kasse, the Order of the 
Eastern Star, The Knights and ladies of honor and a member of the 
various committees connected with the German Hospital.  Surviving 
her are four sons, John, Paul, George, and Albert, and two daughters, 
Pauline and Rose.  The Rev. Dr. Wienand will conduct funeral services 
at her late home to-morrow night at 8 o'clock.  The Interment will be 
made in Evergreen Cemetery Tuesday morning at 10 o'clock.

CAPT FREDERICK A. HINMAN
The Rev. H. D.  WALLER, of St. George's P.E. Church, will conduct 
funeral services this afternoon for Frederick A. HINMAN, late 
captain of the United States Army, who died Friday at his home, 
111 Stamford Avenue, Flushing. Born in Battle Creek, Mich., 
65 years ago. Capt. HINMAN received his early education in that city.  
In 1863 he entered West Point, graduating in 1867.  He entered the 
Engineering Corps of the army, retiring from it twenty-five years 
ago on account of ill health.  Capt. HINMAN came to Brooklyn after 
retiring from the army and made his home in Flushing.  He is survived 
by a Widow, a sister and brother, the last two named living in Battle Creek.  
Interment will be made at Flushing Cemetery.

Jacob WEIL died Friday at the home of niece, Mrs. Clara UNGER.  
121 Bay Thirty-fourth Street. He was born in Brooklyn 86 years ago, 
came to this country when he was 24 years old and made his home in 
New York City.  He engaged in the butcher business and later managed a 
chain of stored in this borough. He retired 25 years ago.

Obituary(Partial)
Elizabeth DRISCOLL: who was born in Ireland 64 years ago, died
suddenly Saturday at her home, 364 South Third street.  She had
long been a prominent resident of the Seventh  Ward, Manhattan,
where her husband, Matthew, who died 12 years ago, was in the shoe
business.  Six years ago she came to Brooklyn and made her home at
the South Third  street address.  A member of the Church of the
Transfiguration, she is survived by two daughters,  Nellie and
Katherine, and a son, Cornelius J. DRISCOLL, a policeman attached
to the Thirteenth Precinct, Manhattan,  Interment will be made at
Calvary Cemetery at 2 o'clock to-morrow afternoon.

Mrs.  Mary O'MALLEY, widow of John O'MALLEY, died to-day at the
home of her daughter, Mrs. Thomas BLUNDEN, 1393 Gates avenue,
after a long illness.  She is survived by her daughter, Sadie, a
son, Joseph, and a sister, Mrs. CALAHAN.  The funeral will be held
at her late home on Wednesday at 2 P.M.  Interment will be made at
Holy Cross Cemetery.

Mercedes  T.  HANABERGH, who died yesterday at the home of her
son, Augustus T. HANABERGH, was born in Columbia, South America,
and had lived in Brooklyn for the last 12 years, lately at the
home of her son.  She was the daughter of James and Caroline WELLS
TOOSE and a descendant of an old Massachusetts family.  In
addition to her son she is survived by two daughters.  Requiem
mass will be celebrated in St. Saviour's Church over her remains
at 8 o'clock  to-morrow morning.  Burial will be in Rhinebeck.  N.
Y., to-morrow afternoon.

Mamie RHODE died Saturday at her home, 319 Stagg street, in her
thirty-seventh year.  She was a member of the Church of St.
Nicholas, and is survived by her husband and three children.
Requiem mass will be celebrated at 9 o'clock to-morrow morning.
Interment will be made at St. Johns Cemetery under the direction
of John STEINMETZ, of 214 Irving avenue.

Catherine CLYNE,  27 years old, daughter of Patrick and Mary
CLYNE, died yesterday at her home,  226 Degraw street.  Besides
her parents she is survived by three brothers and two sisters.
Funeral services will be held at her late home at 2 P. M.
to-morrow.  Interment at Holy Cross Cemetery under the direction
of John F FAFAN.  Henry and Warren streets.  Miss CLYNE Had been a
life resident of Brooklyn.
