of the soul of the late rector, the Rev. William L. O'HARA, L.L.D.

On his way to his home at 191 Sackman street, Brownsville, last evening,
Salvatore CASTIANO, 39 years old, a bricklayer, found the gates down at
the Long Island Railroad crossing at East New York and Vesta avenues.
CASTIANO ducked under them just as a Jamaica-bound train approached.
He was struck squarely. Dr. JOHNSON who was called from the Bradford Street
Hospital, said that death must have been instantaneous.
