ROAMING YOUTH'S TOUR ENDED AND HE'S GLAD OF IT
His dream of adventure ended, 16-year-old William PETERS Jr. is back
at his home at 39 Dobbin St. today -- and glad of it.
After ten weeks of wandering and working he was pleased at the
prospect of getting home again when Nassau County Detectives BRINSLEY and
BEDELL found him in a Wantagh garage yesterday. They recognized the boy from
a description given in a Missing Persons Bureau alarm.
Since he succumbed to the urge to roam, the boy has been working in
lunch wagons, garages and doing other odd jobs in order to earn enough for
food. He has hitch-hiked from village to village.
