stated in the EAGLE.

"In this investigation, " the Cornoner said, "I am going to read the reports
published in the EAGLE and the Sun; they are the best and come nearest to the truth.
I want to talk with the people who have been interviewed and shall use most of
them as witnesses. I want to get all the evidence I can, so as to present the
full facts in proper shape to the jury."

WORK STOPED AT THE RUINS.
Several bodies are thought to be still in the ruins, that of William CLARKE
and that of Kate McCUEN, a girl who is reported as missing, and who is thought
to be the woman who was heard to scream as the walls went down. As there is no
certainty as to the whereabouts of either, their recovery will be a matter of
considerable time.
