a particular favorite of President and Mrs. Diaz of that
republic. Mr. SCUDDER, who is an electrical engineer, went

the Consolidated Iron and Equipment Company.
The wedding occurred in Trinity Methodist Episcopal
Church, which was founded in 1875 by the Rev. Dr. William

John W. Butler, assisted by the Rev. F. E. McGUIRE,
officiated.
Miss Butler was attended by Mrs. Elizabeth De GROSS Rich

Weed, a cousin of the bride, from Batavia, NY and Miss Olive
C. SCUDDER of this village, sister of the bridegroom.
Walter I. Bolen was best man, and Melville K. Weill and
Kenneth S. Littlejohn ushers.
The marriage certificate was signed by the American
ambassador, Henry Lane WILSON, and Consul General Arnold

number of years.
The Mexican City daily papers devoted columns to
descriptions of the wedding, which was quite the event of
the year in Mexico City."
