TOLLGATE, C.1895.

This was one of many built early in the ninteenth century by the Brooklyn, Flatbush, and 
Jamaica Plank Road Company. 

Tolls were collected here until 1897. The gate was razed in the same year. 

It was located at Jamaica Avenue and Hemlock Street near the Queens line.
