John Dikeman, Jr. and
purchased by the Common Council of the City of Brooklyn 
on 11 July 1870.
According to the introduction, Dikeman was a lawyer and, 
at one time, 
Clerk of the City Court of Brooklyn. 
This list appears in the Manual of the
Brooklyn Common Council for 1870 in this work.
