YOUNG WOMEN RECEIVE NURSES' DIPOLMAS
Graduating Exercises of St. Mary's Training School Held in the Pouch.

Seventeen young women received diplomas as nurses in the presence of 
the patrons and trustees of St. Mary's Hospital and a large gathering 
of their friends at the Pouch last evening.

To Miss Ellen GRADY was awarded the honor of delivering the 
valedictory.  Alfred J. BOULTON, register of Kings County, made an 
address to the graduates, while introductory remarks were by Dr. Walter 
J. CORCORAN.

Dr. John HARRINGTON, chairman of the Board of Trustees of St. Mary's 
Hospital, presided.  Between the addresses and the awarding of the 
diplomas Miss Kathleen WILSON and Miss Jennie DALY sang and Miss Aurora 
GRILLI recited several selections.  Frank MORESSY accompanied on the 
piano.  Dr. HARRINGTON presented the diplomas to the member of the 
graduating class.

At the conclusion of the exercises there was a reception for the nurses 
followed by dancing.
