L.I. COLLEGE HOSPITAL GRADUATES SMALL CLASS

The Dudley medal, given for the best clinical report of a case in the 
medical ward of the hospital, was received by William A. ROST. 
  
The Dudley memorial, presented for the best clinical report of a case 
in the surgical ward, was given to Carl SCHUMANN. 
  
The Chauncey L. Mitchell prize, which was offered to the student 
who in the judgement of the faculty is the best qualified in all 
departments of medicine, was received by Robert H. GRAY. 

The Corydon L. Ford prize, to the one having made the best dissections 
during the whole course, was received by R.H. GRAY. 

The anatomical prizes were awarded to William KINGSTON and R.H. GRAY.

The valedictorian of the class of 1909 was Henry A. FISHER, who spoke on 
animal experimentation, including the effects and actions of drugs, of 
disease and the modification and lessening of disease by the use of serums 
and antitoxins. Mr. FISHER also explained the study of the normal structure 
and functions of the body, which is the foundation of the study of disease.
