More than 500 help Century Democratic Club Make Merriment
The Jolly crowd in the orchestra chairs at the Gayety Theatre
last night was the Century Democratic Club and friends, nearly
500 Greenpointers turning out to see the show and partake of
the spread afterward.
Still jollier was the same crowd when it sat down later to eat
in the Orchestrioh Hotel, and to drink and to smoke.
No oratory was permitted.
A number of organizatin were represented, either by committees or delegations.
The Java Fishing Club was out in force, with not a man missing.
The Rainmakers of Long Island City,
the M.J. Dwyer Association and
the Mohican Club were also well represented.
