CITIZENS CLUB PRIZE WINNERS SEE BORO HALL

Sixty Public School Boys Shown How 'Wheels Go Round'
Sixty winners of the Active Citizens Club’s awards are today better
acquainted with Borough Hall. They were shown through the building yesterday
afternoon and, after seeing where the wheels go round, they gathered in the
reception room to listen to a speech by Deputy Commissioner of Public Works
Peter J. McGUINNESS.
In his talk the Deputy Commissioner told the group how much their efforts
toward cooperation and unity in civic affairs were appreciated by the borough
officials.

ALL MEDAL WINNERS
The group was made up of the thirty holders of medals received at the
commencement exercises of their respective public schools and the thirty who
received honorable mention for their excellence in helping fulfil the
programmes of their clubs. Their reception at Borough Hall was in recognition
of what they had done in organized cooperation with the various city
departments, police, sanitation and fire, by helping keep the city orderly,
clean and free from fire hazards.
