College Point Graduates
College Point, L.I. June 29 - The commencement exercises of the 1900 of the
College Point public schools, held in the assembly hall of the new school
building yesterday afternoon, were the most interesting given by the school
in a long time. An entertaining programme consisted of vocal selections,
readings, recitations and dialogues was rendered by the class, assisted by
other pupils of the school. There was a large attendance of friends and
parents of the graduates at the exercises, and not a vacant seat was to bee
seen. There was the usual lavish display of flowers and the hall was
handsomely decorated for the occasion.
