inflammatioin of the bowels in the 26 year of his age.

Feb 3, 1852  Herald "at South Oyster Bay. Long Island,
on /sunday morning, Feb 1, THOMAS JONES,  in the 79
year of his age.The friends of the family are
respectfully invited to attend his funeral from the
residence of his son, THOMAS W. JONES,  tomorrow
morning at half past 11 o'clock. Carriages will be in
attendance at Farmindale on the arrival of the 9
o'clock train of cars from Brooklyn.

"Fatal accident by caving in of
an embackment.  On saturday afternoon, EDWARD CARROLL,
 age about 11, and WILLIAM H. CLARK, aged about 10,
were buried beneath an embankment near the Navy Yard
wall betwen Plymouth and John street,  CARROLL  was
instantly killed but CLARK  had two ribs and his
breast bone broken.  .......Mr.JAMES SHORT, witnessed
the accident and extricated CLARK.  ....DR. MORRIS, 
was promptly  on hand.The body of CARROLL was conveyed
to this parents residence,corner of Hudson and John
streets. "

At Bedford, on Wednesday, May 25, of consumption, John S. JARVIS, M.D.,

Bedford, Brooklyn, on Friday morning, at 9 o'clock.  His remains will 
be taken to Hempstead, L.I., for interment.

At Throgs Neck, suddenly, on Tuesday, May 24, Francis NELSON, son of 
Jacob B. HERRICK, in the 12th year of his age.  Friends of the family

Revolutionary War, for which he received  a pension, until the time of 
his death.

Bell, on her passage from Shanghai to New York, on the 1st July, off
