Queens County 1892 state census
I received two requests for more specific information after my post on
this topic yesterday.

The original of this census is at the Queens County Clerk's office.
There are 11 volumes. The LDS has filmed the census in a five roll series.

A surname index for Long Island City only is on films 1851870 and
1851951. The other towns are unindexed. The census for LIC, Jamaica,
and Flushing (part) is on 1976730. The rest of Flushing, plus
Hempstead, Oyster Bay and North Hempstead is on 1976731. A list of old
and new Queens street names is on 1976732. You can look at the
descriptions of what's on which film at family search.org, on the FHL
catalog CD if you have it, or in the catalog at a FHC.
