VALENTINE of this city has rented the WAGSTAF F villa adjoining Christ Church, West Islip for the summer. The NORTON cottage on Fire Island has been rented to J.H. JACQUELIN of New York. C.S. GARDINER of this city who spends his summers at Babylon, has purchased a finely located plot of ground in that village and will erect a modern cottage. Mr. & Mrs. James F. BASSETT of Minneapolis, Minn have opened their summer place at Sag Harbor. Mr. & Mrs Harry CHADWICK of this city will soon occupy their summer place at Noyac. C.M. POST and family have opened their cottage at Southold. Mr. & Mrs. William HALL of New York were at their summer residence at Smithtown yesterday. Mr. & Mrs. C. A. MILLER of New York were at their residence at Smithtown Branch Ssaturday. J.W. VAN KEUREN of this city has rented for the summer season the residence of Van Buren HULSE on Ocean Ave., Bay Shore. Mrs. SINEY and Miss BERGEN of this city will arrive at the Courtland house, Bay Shore next week to spend the summer season. Mr. Henry NOYSE and family & William TUBBY and family of Bklyn have arrived at Red Spring colony for the season. Mrs. A .RAYMOND and the Misses RAYMOND of New York have arrived at their country seat at Lattingtown. Mr. & Mrs. Warner STOWE and Miss STOWE of New York will spend the summer at Glen Cove. Dr. T.A. BOURKE and family are at their Sayville cottage for the summer. R.E. CRAFT and family of this city are at their summer cottage situated on the banks of the Great South Bay, near Sayville. William C. HAYWOOD and family of this city are at the Anchorage, their summer residence, Sayville. Dr. HEALEY and family of Bklyn are at the Seaside cottage, Sayville. J.C. PALMER and family of this city have take possesion of J. Mitchell STEVEN's cottage at Westhampton. A.M. BROUWER of New York city has rented Elijah RAYNOR 's cottage at Westhampton Beach. Mrs. Henry W. EVERETT has rented the cottage of John H. YOUNG 's at Westhampton Beach. HULSE the handsome water front on the Great South Bay, known as Pentaquit Point, at Bay Shore, and a handsome corner plot on the corner of Clinton Ave & Lewellen Pl., on which he will shortly erect an elegant country villa. D.H. ALLEN has leased for the season the cottage of Mrs. Susan WELLS, on Ocean ave. Mrs. Theresa MUNDLE of New York has leased for the season the N. E. FANNING cottage on Bayshore Ave. Mrs. Elizabeth WALKER and family of New York have arrived at the THURBER cottage on Bayshore, where they will spend the season. F.H. TRUSLOW and family have arrived at their country villla at Great River for the season. W.H. WHARTON and family of New York are domiciled for the season at their country residence, on Johnson Ave, East Islip. H.H. HOLLISTER and family arrived yesterday at their country seat, on Pavilion Ave., East Islip for the season. C.D. MORAN and family are now domiciled at the WILMERDING cottage, at East Islip, where they will spend the summer. Thomas R. BALL and family of New York City have opened their cottage at Water Mill. Mr. and Mrs Joseph FAHYS of this city have taken possession of their summer place on North Haven, near Sag Harbor. Mr. & Mrs. Harry CHADWICK are now at their place at Noyac, near Sag Harbor. Mr. William R. GRACE"s family has moved in their country house at Grace Field. The KINGSLAND villa, on the Crescent, Babylon has been rented to Mrs. C. BAGOT of New York. The Rev. J.E. RAYMOND's farm at West Babylon has been leased for a term of years to Charles VAN ZANDT of Greenwich, Conn. The RUSSELL house, a well known summer hotel at Amityville, has been leased to Howard J. WELCH.
