George Henry BELL, one of the most prominent inventors and manufacturers of instruments for the treatment of eye, ear, nose and throat troubles in the country, died suddenly last Sunday at his home, 771 East Eighteenth street. He was born in Hammondsport, N. Y., sixty-five years ago. He took a scientific course at the Normal College at Cortland, N. Y., graduating in 1874. Soon afterward, he became interested in the scientific treatment of eye, ear, nose and throat diseases. He was the inventor and manufacturer of warm vapor and throat sprays and other instruments long in use. He was a member of the Flatbush Presbyterian Church, the All Souls' men's Club, the Brooklyn Rotary Club, and the Fiske Terrace Property Owners' Association.
