(The old institution was located on Poplar st.

The new home can accommodate more than 200 boys.
There is a roof garden, a playground, recreation rooms 
and a bowling alley.
The institution is supported entirely by charity. 
The boys are not committed to the home, so consequently 
no income is derived from the state or the city.

After the age of 14 they allowed to become self supporting 
and still reside in the home. Every Friday there is a meeting 
at which an account of their earnings during the week is 
given and the wages of each boy is placed in a bank with 
an individual account, so when the time comes arrives for 
facing the world he will have a sum of money to assit him.
