I originally sent an inquiry to the 
Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church Archives, 
and was advised by them they do not have the records of the 
German Evangelical Lutheran Churches that were no longer in existence.  

Info about German Evangelical Lutheran Churches that many German Lutheran 
immigrants attended near their homes can be obtained from:

The churches that are still in existence still have their old records, 
but the churches that are closed have their records at the above address, 
as I have been advised.
