TWENTIETH WARD BOYS IN BLUE.
An adjourned meeting of the Twentieth Ward Boys in Blue was held last night 
at No. 265 Cumberland street.  Captain W. P. WILD, the Secretary, read the 
minutes of the previous meeting, announcing that twenty-six names had been 
handed in and enrolled as members.  The minutes being approved, the president 
invited all those who were present, but who had not enrolled, to proffer 
their names.  Thereupon the following gentlemen handed in their names, the 
regiments or other branches of the military service to which they had been 
attached during the Rebellion, and their places of residence;

SIXTH WARD BOYS IN BLUE.
A meeting of soldiers and sailors, residents in the Sixth Ward, was held last 
evening at Grand Union Hall, Court near Harrison street, to take steps for 
the formation of a Ward company of Boys in Blue.

Officers Chosen:  the nominations were then closed, and Col. KIBBE, was 
unanimously chosen to the position.  On motion Captain DOTY was then made 
President of the new organization.  On motion the Chairman was directed to 
appoint a temporary Secretary, and sleeted Mr. Peter HOGAN.  Edwin Bennett 
was on motion elected First Lieutenant.

The Campaign
Meeting of the First Ward Republican Association.
A meeting of the First Ward Republican Association was held on Saturday 
evening at the Art Building in Montague Street. Mr. Charles J.. LOWREY, the 
President, presided, with Mr. A. B. THORN Secretary pro tem.

It was necessary to appoint the committees for the year. In conformity

A largely attended meeting of the Fourth Ward Republican Association

THE CAMPAIGN
Boys in Blue Getting Their Uniforms
Organizations in Nearly Every Ward in the City - Style of the Uniforms - 
Strength in the State and Nation

The several companies of Boys in Blue in this city assembled last 
evening at their respective headquarters to obtain their uniforms. 
There are now nineteen companies fully organized and with rosters 
filed with the Executive Committee of the Soldiers' and 
Sailors' Campaign Club, under whose auspices and management 
the several companies have been brought into existence. 

The list by Wards is as follows. each Ward having one company, 
excepting the Thirteenth and Eighth, in each of which there are 
two companies: Third, Fourth, Fifth, Sixth, Seventh, Eighth (two companies), 
Tenth, Eleventh, Twelfth, Thirteenth (two companies), Fourteenth, 
Seventeenth, Nineteenth, Twentieth, Twenty-first, Twenty-second and Twenty-third.

In the First, Ninth, Fifteenth and Twenty-fifth Wards companies 
are being organized. The company for the Twenty-fifth was organized 
on Monday, but their muster roll is not yet filed. Measures are 
being taken to organize a company in the Second, Sixteenth and 
Eighteenth Wards. There are now on the muster rolls at the Central 
office in Court street about 2,000 names.
The organization of the Boys in Blue is a national 
one both politically and geographically.

Sixteenth Ward Republican Union
Over one hundred of the leading citizens of the Sixteenth Ward met at 
Alderman ACKER's Hall, 107 Graham avenue, to form an association 
auxiliary to the regular Republican Association of the Ward. A 
committee on permanent organization was appointed, consisting of the 
following gentlemen:

Union of the Sixteenth Ward as the title of the organization, and the

last evening, forty-three members being present.
Dr. Charles R. DOANE called the roll of the company, and Major Fred J. KARCHER 
moved that George GEIHL be elected Captain. Carried. 
The following officers were then elected: 
First Lieutenant, Wm. H. ROGERS; 
Second Lieutenant, Emil C. WALTER; 
Orderly Sergeant, George W. HUTSEBECK.
Captain GIEHL thereupon took the Chair, and 
John TOELL was elected Captain of the Sixteenth Ward Republican Battery...

were present and signified their intention to parade their companies on 
Thursday evening next.

A number of Republicans of the Eighth Ward, 
have formed a HAYES and WHEELER Club, which held a meeting last 
evening at Fred. WEBER'S Hall, corner of Ewen and Varet streets. 
The temporary officers are as follows:

The members of the club are the solid business men of Ewen street,

The opening of the KINGS COUNTY REPUBLICAN HEADQUARTERS, COURT ST. will 
take place on Wed. Evening, October 4.
